Nick DeCesare is a pianist and composer from New Castle, Pennsylvania currently residing in Chicago, Illinois. He began teaching himself piano in his late high school years before studying with Marcia Miot of New Castle in 2010 and Sam Pasco of Chippewa, PA and Berklee College of Music in 2011. At that point he was accepted to the Mary Pappert School of Music at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance in May of 2015. His first album, a solo piano project entitled ‘Openings’ was recorded in January 2016 at Audible Images Studio in Pittsburgh, PA with the assistance of audio engineer Jay Dudt. Nick recorded this album on a beautiful Yamaha C7 grand piano.
